Dual-use technology is a term used to refer the results of research and inventions that can be deployed to simultaneously satisfy more than one purpose, both defense and civilian. In the field of logistics and technical assurance, countries around the world pay great attention and give high priority to research and development of dual-use technology.
From the needs of acquiring and developing dual-use technology, on August 18th, 2022 in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, NSSC National Center for Creative Startup Support in conjunction with Software Park ASP army held the signing ceremony, pulled the ribbon to set up a dual-use Creative Startup complex; and the Seminar on dual-use innovative startups: potentials and advantages.
At the ceremony, under the witness of Mr. Pham Hong Quat - Director of National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC); Colonel & Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Director of the Military Software Park and Mr. Pham Dung Nam - Director of the National Innovative Startup Support Center (NSSC) signed cooperate in establishing and developing a dual-use startup and innovation support space located at the Military Software Park at 75 Đ. 2/4, Vinh Hai, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. This is a milestone marking the close cooperation, towards the same goal of building a fast-growing and strong startup community while promoting innovation in economic development while ensuring national security. step by step promote technology development, dual-use industry becomes the spearhead of national industry and technology.
Today's collaboration consists of monetary contributions to the open innovation ecosystem, digital transformation, and research to solve military and civil problems.
In addition, the ceremony witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between ASP Military Software Park and Techfest 2022 Digital Entrepreneur Village, Institute of Economics and Technology; Finnovation and Lienminhso.net aim to develop a dual-use startup and innovation complex, promote research, connect expert and scientific resources, develop investment and create markets, and collaborate. Implementing programs and projects for civil-military cooperation, developing ecosystems and dual-use innovation value chains on a national scale, and connecting internationally.
The seminar aims to bring knowledge, trends and orientations on dual-use innovation startups, helping startups realize the great potential that can be exploited in this industry as well as the advantages of dual-use science in solving military and civil problems, especially dual-use related to marine economy.
